Description
These six Christmas flute duets provide as much interest for the second part as the melody does for the first. Four of these carols feature three verses: the first with melody and a simple duet, the second with the melody in the second part, and the third verse an embellished melody with duet. Two of the carols do not follow this pattern. Gesu Bambino follows the vocal version closely, with some differences. Away in a Manger Lullaby features both tunes to this popular carol with the Brahms lullaby inserted in between. Suitable for early intermediate players, these carols will make perfect candlelight service music or Christmas season offertories.
