Description
Of Faith We Play is a collection of 25 duets, all of which have “Faith” in their titles. While these may be new to you, they are timeless with their rich theology. They are suitable for 2nd year or early intermediate clarinet/trumpet players. Running eighth notes and some key signatures with multiple sharps make them more challenging than average 2nd year material. They can be used for offertories, special music, or accompaniment for congregational singing. The Flute book, Of Flute and Faith, contains the same selections in the same concert key as this clarinet-trumpet book. Therefore, the instruments can be played together as in the demo recording provided here. Most of these hymns are in traditional hymnal keys.
In the second half of the book, you will find the lyrics for meditation and further knowledge. All are in the public domain except for Great is Thy Faithfulness, which I have permission to arrange. An MP3 flute demo is available but which does not contain Great Is Thy Faithfulness. Enjoy this journey of faith!
